The Ultimate Chase Card Reveal?
The latest from Pokemon Card 151 reveals an illustration rare featuring the bird trio.
Ability: Bolt Float
If this Pokemon has any [L] attached, it has no Retreat Cost.
[L][L][L] Multishot Lightning: 120 damage. This attack also does 90 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon that has any damage counters on it. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)
The bird trio does only feature on a Zapdos card, unfortunately it’s not a tag team card which has already been printed but if they were to print a new one I doubt we would get tag teams for a good while.
This sets a great standard for a chase card, all while rumors do say that Venusaur ex, Charizard ex, and Blastoise ex should get Special Illustration Rares.
Rumors also say that the Kanto Starters and their Stage 1 Evolutions should receive Illustrator Rares.
The regular Zapdos ex card:

Rumors say that Crown Zenith was overprinted. We may see more of it go on sale in the future. But also, rumor.
Throwback Thursday
Team Magma’s Groudon, and Team Aqua’s Kyogre.
From XY Double Crisis in 2018.
I’m not sure if this counts as a throwback, but hey I do make the rules.
BTW Throwback Thursday is anything after the WOTC era. But far back enough to feel like a throwback.
Modern Monday probably goes back to Sun and Moon, but even that feels old now.
Anyway, back to today’s program.

There’s an excitement seeing these cards next to each other.
Like that scene from Civil War where both sides are about to clash.
You can feel the tension.
Starting with Team Magma’s Groudon:
And Team Aqua’s Kyogre:
It’s great to see they are both at the same price, this just means that collectors are buying both. They do look great side-by-side.
And the hill means they are becoming more popular, but we’ll see if that holds true in the future.
