Because this is Lillie’s time to shine.
Yes, the questionably popular and questionably young female trainer has been hitting new highs in prices lately.
I’m fairly sure the reasoning for the skyrocketing price is because of some particular youtubers.
There are 3 cards we will be looking at.
Starting of with the big hitter:
Lillie 151/156 Illus. Nooki Saito
From Ultra Prism in 2018. The popularity of this card wasn’t as high as actual Pokemon, because people weren’t huge fans of full art trainers.
Well, look at it now.
The next highest selling card isn’t even a Pokemon either.
In fact, the top 4 cards in this set are trainers, and then the highest selling Pokemon card is the gold Solgaleo secret rare. Which itself is just a fraction of what this Lillie card sells for.
How the tables have turned.
Next up:
Lillie’s Full Force 230/236 Illus. Noriko Uono
Lillie’s Full Force from Cosmic Eclipse. The highest rated set in the Sun and Moon series.
This card doesn’t top the most popular card in the set, but it might not be long before it gets there if Lillie Ultra Prism continues to rise up.
The price of this card seems to follow the same trend.
Last up:
Lillie 147/149 Illus. Megumi Mizutani
Lillie from Sun and Moon base.
And once again, Lillie is the most popular card of this set.
The next best card is rainbow Espeon, surprisingly. At the time of writing this, rainbow Umbreon is just 5c behind it on tcgplayer.
But still, Lillie is 3x the price of rainbow Espeon.
Lillie truly taking full force in the market.
